Dead rabbits riot?[edit]

From the article:

"The police being busy with their feud, the Dead Rabbits Riot between two Irish gangs in Five Points occurred in July, lasting two days, killing about 100 people, and stopped only by intervention of the state militia. It was the worst riot up to that time."

Is this correct, the description of the parties ("two irish gangs") and the number of dead?

These two points were entirely erroneous, or at least they flatly contradicted the linked Dead Rabbits riot article, so I have deleted them. Thank you for your alertness. Jim.henderson (talk) 13:46, 9 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

– Per WP:DATERANGE, the FULL four-digit years should be written out in any given date range on Wikipedia (with the exception of one-year periods which can be written either way: 1923–1924 or 1923–24). The above moves should be made to fit within Wikipedia's guidelines, and also for consistency with the four-year formatting of the other "History of New York City" pages (1665–1783; 1784–1854; 1898–1945).
