Prod

[edit]

It's a new article still in development. Notability isn't an issue. The history and origin sections are being worked on as I type this by another editor. The lead will be next. It will be good and within Wikipedia's inclusion standards. We work with GAs and FAs daily, so trust that we know what we're doing. Thank you. LaraLove 01:33, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To-do

[edit]
  • Expand the philanthropy section.
  • Create section about various commercial ads they've done.
    • I can only find a reference for the VISA ad. There are forums that mention a Home Depot ad and there are references that state "commercials" but give no further information.
  • Talk about the treatment they have received throughout the years.
  • Write the lead. Thanks for your help Jayron.
  • Waiting to hear back from them regarding free licensing of image(s).

Current members list

Maybe they should be listed by birth name first, then by Hogette name second? What about doing this as a table? That may be easier to follow... Ideas? --Jayron32|talk|contribs 06:39, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I thought because the article is about the Hogettes, their Hogette names should go first. I will make a table. What do you think about a column for their Hogette name emboldened, with a column for real name or birth name, a column for when they joined and one for any additional info, like Hall of Fans? I can put the real names first and have the hog names emboldened. We'll play around with it. LaraLove 19:19, 11 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It might be one of those things where I have to see it to make a decision. Maybe drop a few versions in and we'll look at them? --Jayron32|talk|contribs 02:31, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Just looked at the table. This one looks fine.--Jayron32|talk|contribs 02:32, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What about Grandpa Hogette? Member 1983? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.240.142.195 (talk) 18:38, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Never heard of him. Nothing in the sources. If you've got a source for him, feel free add it to the article or here on the talk page. لennavecia 20:06, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grandpa Hogette: One of the originals just passed away. Please add him. http://www.tbd.com/articles/2010/08/redskins-fan-ralph-campbell-aka-grandpa-hogette-remembered--6535.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.168.25.203 (talk) 17:39, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Novel info in the lead

[edit]

We'll need to put more in the article to cover the time they were attacked at the Vet. Perhaps under the "national exposure" section. That section needs some work anyways; it needs some expandsion and may need a new title. Now that I see it in print, it just seems like it needs more work. Any ideas? --Jayron32|talk|contribs 02:39, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, I'm not done with it or the charity sections. I just takes me forever. Writers block. I'm not good at wording things from scratch. I'm more about tweaking prose. I've got the links above in the to-do section, and I'm looking for more information. LaraLove 02:55, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hogettes on the Food Network

[edit]

More for national exposure. See: [1] and [2] We'll need more than these before its added, but its a start. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 06:51, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was a forums site that mentioned a Home Depot commercial, but I can't find anything on it. LaraLove 14:03, 12 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
