problem with the comparison image

There is an image on the page comparing the Vikramaditya with the Admiral Gorshkov, showing the Admiral Gorshkov had 3 "launch" positions for aircraft versus only two for the Vikramaditya. As far as I can tell the Admiral Gorshkov image is wrong, if not completely ficticious. The Admiral Gorshkov, like all the Kiev class, had missile launchers permanently mounted on the foredeck and could not launch aircraft in that direction. Beyond that, the Admiral Gorshkov, like the other Kievs, was only equipped with VTOL aircraft (and helicopters), meaning there was no need for takeoff capabilty off the bows.

Unless someone can show that the image is an accurate reflection of the Admiral Gorshkov at any time in it's Russian career I suggest it should be removed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:589:300:C7C0:7889:F97:1DBE:DD59 (talk) 21:23, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
