I understand that an IP editor has discovered penal dossiers referring to executions later in 1987. It’s an intriguing find. But, per Wikipedia policy — WP:NOR, WP:PSTS, WP:SYNTH — these findings are irrelevant until a published source specifically refers to another criminal as being the last Romanian execution prior to December 1989. — Biruitorul Talk 18:41, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Biruitorul (whoever you are) Ion Pistol was NOT the last criminal executed in communist Romania. This dubious honor goes to the child murderer Samoila Atila Ilies (born July 24, 1956), shot September 15, 1987. See the site: https://www.iiccmer.ro/fise-matricole-nou/?drawer=Fise %20freshmen%20penale%20-%20Detained%20de%20drept%20comun%20executati%20in%20timpul%20regimului%20comunist*I*Ilies%20Samoila
Why, with absurd and silly fanaticism, do you persist in deleting my very correct modification? Are you the owner of Wikipedia perhaps? Why shouldn't I correct a clearly false figure (Ion Pistol, last shot in Romania)?
If you want another source that talks about an execution that took place after May 12, 1987, here it is: https://adevarul.ro/stiri-locale/hunedoara/ultimul-roman-condamnat-la-moarte-in-hunedoara-2149115. html which talks about the execution of Vasile Trifan, shot for double murder on May 13, 1987 (therefore AFTER Pistol). Do you have to criticize this time too? Don't you have anything better to do with your life than delete my corrections? Find yourself a serious job! Enrico S. L. (talk) 11:40, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Right, now find a published secondary source explicitly saying either that Pistol was not the last, or that someone else was last. Otherwise you breach policies like WP:NOR, WP:PSTS, WP:SYNTH. Oh, and do be careful of WP:NPA and WP:3RR, because violating those will get you blocked. — Biruitorul Talk 13:51, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Question: what's the point of continuing to keep the entry "Ion Pistol" when it is clear to everyone (apart from that genius of Bbb23, who can do nothing but delete my posts) that this criminal was not the last shot in Romania?
On this site (https://adevarul.ro/stiri-locale/hunedoara/ultimul-roman-condamnat-la-moarte-in-hunedoara-2149115.html), i.e. in a source that is certainly not primary, it is stated that Vasile Trifan was shot on May 13, 1987 (hence AFTER Ion Pistol). This would therefore be enough to disavow the false story of Ion Pistol, as the "last shot in Romania". There is evidently no other reason to keep up the Ion Pistol Wikipedia entry. I have yet to find an article that talks about the real last shot in Romania and that is Samoila Atila Ilies, put to death on September 15, 1987, but sooner or later I will find it. I would like to know Biruitorul's point of view, also because you are not censored by your friend. 79.37.73.254 (talk) 07:26, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
