School Colors

[edit]

Our school colors are red and grey. They are not red and silver, they are not maroon and silver. They are red and grey. I cite my almost three and a half years of attendance at this school. --Adam Maras 06:40, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. Runs afoul of WP:OR... I'm honestly not sure myself. -- The_socialist talk? 06:46, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind. The fight song does indeed make it clear. -- The_socialist talk? 06:53, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. --Adam Maras 06:53, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Odd...since I attended the school for four years when it first opened in the 80s and remember there being an insistence that it was Maroon (and NOT red) and Grey...Sinderbloog (talk) 01:21, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is correct. These people need to discuss these thing with the administration before they make such foolish mistakes. Anonymous 21:49, 3 March 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.231.58.98 (talk)

Addition of Club info/fight song

[edit]

An IP has been attempting to re-add Ironwood's Fight Song, detailed info about he clubs, and so forth. While this may be important it is non notable and non encyclopedic. IT should be discussed here with a wide group of editors before re-addition. See Plano Senior High School for a good high school article example. Response

[edit]

It is understood that you feel the need to delete the relevant information about clubs, organizations, marching band, and fight song from this Wikipedia page. However, I feel that your reasoning is false. I have edited plenty of high school pages both in the Peoria Unified and in other states and those are very standard things to have. I understand that you are basing your edits off of the Plano Senior High School Wikipedia page but I would like you to reference Walter Reuther Central High School who it too has notable organization information much like Ironwood. Also, may other schools including Cactus High School and Centennial High School (Peoria, Arizona) have their fight song listed. One final note, pun of course is intended. Even Plano Senior High School discusses their band just like this article discusses its Marching Band. I look forward to your response. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peoeagle (talkcontribs) 00:41, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but you seem to have missed my point. These articles aren't of featured or good quality. When I take this to a review, it probably will be failed due to this content. But that will be in late December. For now, the article can stand as is. Buggie111 (talk) 00:55, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do agree with Peoeagle. I feel that the article is fine and matches a lot of other articles out there. I believe Buggie111 is correct in some instances, but to remove all of the information may be considered a bit too far. --Benglines (talk) 05:29, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
