Stem cell donation

[edit]

I would like to know whether Isabeli Fontana has donated her stem cells to any stem cell bank? Thank you in advance. 5.120.16.227 (talk) 12:31, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicity

[edit]

It's pathetic to see her ethnicity as "Italian". There are hundreds of celebrities from the US and Brazil with European backgrounds (by the way, around 18% of Brazilians have an Italian ancestry) and this doesn't make them German, Italian, etc. She is a white Brazilian, period. 189.60.198.138 (talk) 01:59, 8 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't agree more. She's as Italian as Francis Ford Coppola. She's an Italian Brazilian, as per the Italian Brazilian page. Jgsodre (talk) 20:31, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why the user who made this section is so angry and calling this info "pathetic". I looked at the revisions of her page during 2014 and 2015 and the page ONLY described her as being Brazilian, both in the lede and the infobox mentioning her nationality. The only time "Italian" is mentioned was in her Early Life section. The cited article in her early life states she is Brazilian and has Italian origins. So I don't know why the IP user is so mad. This is a fact and it's noteworthy enough to mention in her early life. EDIT: NVM. I saw what the infobox use to say. But that never appeared on her actual page and could've easily been removed. So still, I don't know why the user was mad. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 20:32, 17 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Years later, it seems to be somewhat of a issue, but she's just Brazilian and that's what her opening sentence should state. Socially constructed racial labels in this context are not relevant and honestly, why does it matter at all that she is considered "White"? Does it impact her career in such a way? Does she go around being obsessed with such a label? I don't think so.
Anyways, in terms of ethnicity, she is Italian, and being from Brazil, she is an Italian Brazilian. A couple years ago, she was granted Italian citizenship on account of her Italian heritage, but that doesn't change the fact that she is Brazilian first and foremost, and that's the country that she was born, grew up in, and where she first gained notability. I believe she's also still based there (though also having a home in America now).
Ultimately, per WP:ETHNICITY her Italian heritage isn't what strictly defines her; no more than many Brazilians are "Black" or "Yellow" (Amarela; ethnic East Asians). Clear Looking Glass (talk) 04:23, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So what? Yolanda Hadid is a 100% Dutch woman and was granted American citizenship and wikipedia uses nationality as well. She's Italian-Brazilian, this is your personal opinion and it shouldn't interfere with wikipedia. She has both citizenships therefore your argument isn't valid, as wikipedia uses facts not personal opinions. Maria1718182 (talk) 16:44, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Her nationality is Italian as well. Maria1718182 (talk) 16:42, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
