Talk:Egypt–Israel barrier
2011 comment
[edit]This page is very inaccurate: the plan is not finalized and due to political shifts, the map has red lines well past the 30 kms mentioned in the text - at least twice as long. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.117.180.39 (talk) 12:39, 10 September 2011 (UTC)

File:ISR-EGY border 6521a.jpg to appear as POTD
[edit]Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:ISR-EGY border 6521a.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on December 11, 2013. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2013-12-11. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. Thanks! — Crisco 1492 (talk) 22:48, 25 November 2013 (UTC)
Map
[edit]I think we should create a map showing the path of the border between the two countries. --Shandristhe azylean 11:18, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
NPOV
[edit]I made some minor edits to this article to use the slightly more neutral (although still problematic) term 'insurgent' instead of 'terrorist' (I'd suggest http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militant_%28word%29#See_also might be a good place to start when considering what terms to use when discussing armed Palestinians?). Although this article is only a stub, perhaps a general rewrite to make sure a strictly factual, non-biased, tone is being adopted throughout would be of some benefit. Thanks! 67.55.10.37 (talk) 22:26, 11 December 2013 (UTC)
Length of the fence
[edit]The article has a sourced "fact" that the fence is 245 miles long, while in reality it is about 245 kilometers long. I will try to find a source, but it's probably better to remove this from the article (common sense). —Ynhockey (Talk) 12:26, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

User comment from article space
[edit]I like to have added that the israeli-egyptian border dates from a time when western countries wanted to protect the Suez canal with foreland. The bedouins differ very much from the egyptian farmers. Like the Amazone-forest, the Himalaya, the Sahara, the North Pole regions are to be cut loose from states and become domain for wild flora and fauna under international controll like Antarctica, so also the middle of the Sinai may become "no man's land". If Gaza is added to Egypt Israel can get the easter part of the Sinai while also Jordan receives more shore on the other side of the Gulf of Aqaba to earn from tourism. This should stimulate good international balance. Jitso Keizer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.171.56.13 (talk • contribs) 19:38, April 15, 2017 (UTC)
