Blatant advertising, self-aggrandizement, and unreferenced assertions[edit]

This is a message for the anonymous editor (using various IPs which all trace to Australia) who extensively edits this article and also edited the now-deleted Alain Jacques.

1. I have removed all "footnotes" of the type:

"Both albums are or will be soon available on iTunes, Amazonmp3 and other digital music stores under the artist name Jacques Pottier"
"This album will also soon be available on all the major digital stores"

This is blatant advertising and wholly inappropriate in an encyclopedia article. Please do not add them again. Wikipedia is not a personal website or free advertising space provider for Alain Jacques, Jacques Pottier, or anyone else and must not be used as such.

2. I have restored the {{fact}} tags to the following statement:

"Meeting Alain Jacques in 1995 and working over the years in close association with him had a profound influence on Jacques Pottier,[citation needed] who was inspired to start a new career at an age when most singers have retired, and who overcame a stage-fright which had been at times a problem for him.[citation needed]"

These highly dubious and entirely unreferenced assertions are wholly inappropriate in the biography of a living person. If references from a reliable source which verifies the assertions are not provided in 24 hours, they will be removed from the article. Voceditenore (talk) 09:55, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
