I just did a heavy copyedit: adding some wikilinks, removing lots of passive constructions and reorganizing chronologically. The libraries are closed, so I cannot verify that Barbour was re-elected annually to the governorship (although the Library of Virginia entry cited at the end is presumably authoritative), nor the particular persons that he ran against. The article clearly has major problems still, especially concerning his actions with the Creek Indians. I added a wikilink to the Red Stick War that ended in 1814 and will add links to the treaties involved (although not corresponding references to him in them). Although I initially kept the prior unattributed stance that Barbour advocated their removal, the Governor Troup article indicates the Georgia governor did, as do the treaty articles themselves.Jweaver28 (talk) 19:21, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
