James Cockle was a fellow of the Royal Society and the Royal Astronomical Society. The following titles were removed:

FCPS[disambiguation needed] FMS[disambiguation needed]

The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography does not indicate a FCP or FMS. The former may be Cambridge Philosophical Society, but reference is missing. The FMS may refer to Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society again with missing reference. Until evidence is found for status as Fellow in either institution these acronyms may stay here in Talk.Rgdboer (talk) 21:21, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

The ADB citation in the article does say he is a Fellow of the Cambridge Philosophical Society but does not say he is a Fellow of the Manchester Society, only that he is a member of it, so I reinstated the FCPS but not the FMS. Kerry (talk) 03:03, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
