[edit]Did he play for Swindon Town F.C.? There's a link to John Brown on there that should point here if so. Diverman 12:02, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Promising youngster? He was 25/26 when he signed for rangers — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.241.235.73 (talk) 14:07, 14 March 2013 (UTC)
Internationals
[edit]Did he not get any caps?RicoRichmond (talk) 19:24, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- no, none. fantastic club player but scotland had gough, mcpherson and levein then, mcleish and miller before, and hendry and calderwood after. now we have garry kenneth and christophe berra - brown was around at the wrong time! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.175.229 (talk) 21:57, 29 August 2010 (UTC)
Title deeds
[edit]What's all this about John Brown and the title deeds of Rangers? The page seems to be edited a lot with reports that Brown holds the title deeds to Ibrox. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.235.66 (talk) 15:37, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
- It is vandalism related to the Rangers F.C. crisis last summer. John Brown claimed that the consortium that bought the club didn't own Ibrox Stadium, and told them to prove it by publicly releasing the title deeds. The consortium have since proved that they own the stadium. John Brown has never claimed to own anything.
- John Brown has never claimed to own Ibrox Stadium. He has, in the past, questioned who owns the stadium and has demanded those who own the stadium to be named publicly [1]. That has since happened with title deeds being shown, proving that the club still owns its stadium [2]. VanguardScot 16:04, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Just a quick reminder - the biographies of living people policy applies even when it's not derogatory or hateful comments being posted, claiming someone owns Ibrox stadium, despite being something lots of people would love to own, could be detrimental to someone like John Brown, people believing the information on WP to be accurate could well take action based on that information and that could impact John financially, so please do make sure you only reference material that's out there in the press, in papers like the Daily Record and The Sun. Nick (talk) 16:12, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
@Nick - The Daily Record and The Sun newspapers are hardly reliable sources. Both are tabloid rags and have a terrible record when it comes to accuracy when reporting football stories. In fact when it comes to football "gossip" (especially possible transfers and managerial changes) most newspapers are unreliable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.235.214 (talk) 19:46, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- Indeed sometimes that is the case but do you know what's more unreliable? An editor's own opinion without any source as what had been happening here. BadSynergy (talk) 21:55, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
So who does own the title deeds to Ibrox then? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.0.227.86 (talk) 05:15, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
- If you don't know, why do you edit Wikipedia purporting that you do? - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:29, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
- The link is posted above. It is the only source we have, as the IP editor has refused to involve himself in constructive discussion. VanguardScot 13:22, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Drink driving convictions
[edit]Why is there no mention of Bomber's numerous drink driving and speeding convictions? The latest resulting in a ban.
