Clarification needed[edit]

Some claims made:

"Youngest flying wing commander" as of June 1944

Roland Beamont was younger and a flying wing commander as I understand the term, before being shot down early 1944.

"More operational hours than any Battle of Britain pilot"

The source does not list the number of hours, so this claim cannot be supported or refuted.

Just to note I removed the "Montague Hulton-Harrop, who became the first RAF pilot to die in World War II." as it is not true at least one pilot killed earlier (Flt Sgt A J Turner of 9 Sqn was killed with his crew on 4 September flying a Wellington on operations).
