Hi, I have came across some useful information for improving this article and want to contribute to make it a much more well-rounded article. To me the article feels too short for someone that had a significant role in California history. I will list my references for you all to view.

- Thanks to Jcayala97 for the sources. Today I reverted an unsourced alteration of content in the "Early Life" section, and wanted to follow up by verifying the original content via the noted source. Unfortunately, that source is only accessible through academic institutions and/or by subscription. Can Someone with access to The Quarterly: Historical Society of Southern California verify the "Early Life" information? WCCasey (talk) 16:11, 21 February 2024 (UTC)
