Vax death?

Athletic young men have died playing professional football for decades before COVID. See examples such as Antonio Puerta and Marc-Vivien Foé, plus others who had close shaves due to their defects being found in time due to Lilian Thuram, or survived like Fabrice Muamba. Ridiculous idea. This is in 2024 not 2020-2022 where people have already been vaxxed and passed the side effects section. Footballers collapse from things like this a lot, Christian Eriksen for example. Sadsolarpanel (talk) 22:34, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname

Nicknames are popular in South American football and Izquierdo was nicknamed "Negrón" by his teammates, meaning "Big black guy", if you take it literally. Don't shoot me, I'm just saying what his teammates said, and reported by sources. [1] [2] [3] While it may be shocking to the Anglosphere, race-based nicknames are common in South America, such as Izquierdo's former manager Álvaro Recoba "El Chino"; we can all remember Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani having their problems with the culture shift in England.
