The article was recently added to indicate March 24 as Moronao's death date. Is this the 24th of the 3rd month on the Japanese calendar, or is it accurate as "March 24", following conversion to the Western calendar? LordAmeth (talk) 07:56, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So, March 24 is Westernized date, since, as I understand, we generally use dates according to traditional Japanese calendar when writing narrative. Do you know if we usually put Western death date or Japanese one in the first sentence or which convention we should use? -- Taku (talk) 22:32, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm personally a fan of using the Japanese date, if we know it, as it's more relevant. But there's certainly no set standard, and if one were to use the Japanese date, one would likely need a footnote or the like explaining that that's what it is, and perhaps including which Western date it corresponds to. ...
