Assessment

[edit]

This is not really quite a B-class article. It needs an entrance photo, plus three or four more. OF the zoo, not closeups of animals. Pix showing the exhibits would be really good. It also needs a good copy edit, and has too may external links that need to be converted to citations. I have done a bit of work, but am marking the article as needing attention to WP Zoo. Donlammers (talk) 00:12, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is also lacking in citations. I have seen start-class articles better cited than this. I have cleaned up the external links section. Donlammers (talk) 11:45, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The name of this location, officially, is Kansas City Zoo, not Kansas City Zoological Park. It was Kansas City Zoological Gardens originally and part of Swope Park, but it has never been Kansas City Zoological Park. The history of the Zoo is on the Zoo's website: http://www.kansascityzoo.org/about-the-zoo/history — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.218.201.123 (talk) 04:11, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kansas City Zoological ParkKansas City Zoo – Kansas City Zoo is not nor has it ever been the Kansas City Zoological Park. We request the name be changed to Kansas City Zoo. KansasCityZoo (talk) 15:44, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Support I'd support the move. I can't find anywhere on the Internet where it has been called the Kansas City Zoological Park. The History page on their website doesn't even mention the "Zoological Park." Corkythehornetfan (Talk) 17:41, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
