[edit]Question for VernoWhitney: if the external links section is removed, will that satisfy the warning you posted?
If not, can you provide some examples so this article is in compliance?

- Worked it out with the editor that posted the warning. VernoWhitneywas incredibly instructive and encouraging. As it turns out, it was links added by others back in 2007.
By cleaning them up, the warning is gone.
All that's left to do is organizing the bio in an outline, and then using one of the many citation templates for all the footnotes.
