Possible victim of WWII?

[edit]

His article in German wikipedia (the only language version which hints at his possible end) states he was drafted into the German Army towards the end of WWII and was deployed to Yugoslavia where he subsequently went missing, suggesting a likely death year no later than 1945, but the statement lacks citation. I wonder if he is listed on the German "Volksbund" war graves website?Cloptonson (talk) 16:42, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

UPDATE - I have discovered in German wikipedia that he was declared to have died on 31 December 1945 by the Vienna Regional Court, cited to a baptismal record with the endorsement of the declaration added in later hand.Cloptonson (talk) 07:37, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
While accepting the citation about his presumed date of death I have added a citation need concerning his military service and going missing as it does not appear to be supported by the citation and to encourage seeking of published sources that do.Cloptonson (talk) 18:17, 1 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
