It is not just you. It as if the marketing person didn't even attempt to disguise the cut and paste job from their corporate website. While my subjective opinion of this company is favorable, it disgusts me to see the blatant disregard for the NPOV policies here. I'll begin cleaning it up, at least the language while we try and find some citeable claims. Tolstoy143 - "Quos vult perdere dementat" 22:23, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done. The pith remains, but the bulk of the cut and paste is now gone. Tolstoy143 - "Quos vult perdere dementat" 22:36, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two years later and the pendulum swings far in the other direction. It seems that the current listing is nothing more than a hatchet job posted by either an angry ex-employee or a competitor. This article needs serious work by someone neutral. I checked it out based on a news release today regarding John McCain being named as the new CEO and was shocked that the NPOV policies have been flagrantly broken. --Guilden NL (talk) 00:41, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Especially since the employee count is incorrect and - since the company is private - I'm not sure where these revenue numbers came from. It also has grammatical problems and only one reference. I'm going to commit some time to making substantive improvements to the Wiki over the next week or two King4057 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:25, 17 August 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Ref with more detail

[edit]

More detail of Keane's earlier history, I myself was an employee of Dataskills. They were a helpdesk company with generic helpdesk, outsourced support for Aldus Software (purchased by Adobe), and Microsoft's Macintosh game and productivity software. Keane purchased Dataskills after Microsoft had selected them as a software support launch partner (due to high quality numbers for MS Mac support). [1] Since Keane was bought by Caritor which changed its name to Keane, we should include Caritor's premerger hisory here and redirect Caritor. Caritor bid to takeover Keane just after Brian Keane was ousted due to sexual harassment charges file by 2 employees. The triumvirate appointed to takeover Brian Keane's position became 2 as Jones was fired then sued. Shjacks45 (talk) 10:54, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

2019 Update

[edit]

References requested for "The combined entity retained the name of Keane. The corporate headquarters was relocated to San Francisco, CA and then to Boston, MA". Can't seem to find evidence of this as various sources state the company will be combined but US operations will be in Boston. E.g.: [[https://news.thomasnet.com/companystory/caritor-inc-to-acquire-keane-inc-for-14-30-per-share-in-cash-507785%7C Caritor, Inc. to Acquire Keane, Inc. for $14.30 per Share in Cash]] -- should this part just be removed (keep the Caritor merger reference, but remove that the operations moved)

Acquisitions

[edit]

In the late 1990s, early 2000s, Keane Inc. acquired three strategy consulting firms expanding their expertise in this area to Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; and Boston, MA. They consolidated these firms under the division name, Keane Consulting Group and it was managed out of Chicago. After a management change, this group became known as Keane Worldzen and expanded to include outsourcing services. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.1.27.173 (talk) 20:06, 16 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
