Timeline[edit]

Didn't the company begin production of the first set too late for that year's Christmas season, resulting in some little kids getting vouchers for a future purchase instead of the actual toys? I seem to remember this being a problem.WHPratt (talk) 20:18, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's not an article. It's got no context, no references, no catagories, isn't wikified, is orphaned, and is written with abbreviations that only a fan would understand. Just to begin with. It's junk, and shouldn't be on Wikipedia in this form. But I hate deletionism, so I'm not going to do anything about it. -- AvatarMN (talk) 15:00, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Now I feel jaded, I didn't expect anyone to be inspired to actually do anything. Bravo. In respect to your effort, I did a little further wikifying. The categories and SW stub should get the article the attention of some editors, especially. But how were you able to compile this list? Is there a book, or a web site that can be sourced, and fulfill that requirement? I learned from He-Man's entry in Wikipedia that the line of Star Wars figures was also offered to Mattel. Re: Popular culture[edit]

It says "In the 1994 episode of The Simpsons, "Lisa's Rival", Ralph Wiggum wins a diorama contest with a diorama made up of re-packaged Star Wars action figures." I thought the joke was that Ralph had the figures in a box and "still in their original packaging." This means that he didn't do anything even slightly creative with them, but won the contest because Skinner's fan-boy interest was triggered. Why does "star wars action figures" redirect here when there are more Hasbro ones?[edit]

That's pretty much it. That seems be be a bit of a mess, that all Star Wars action figures redirect to the Kenner ones.
