Questionable interpretation of source
[edit]This article is given as the source for the statement "The entire line, apart from the platform at Minami-Kesennuma Station, was destroyed by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami." The line as a whole is also referred to in the past tense in the lead. However, the source only claims that "All but the platform of Minami-Kesennuma Station on the JR Kesennuma Line was swept away by tsunami [...]." There are several ways to interpret this statement, and the one that seems most straightforward is "At the Minami-Kesennuma Station on the JR Kesennuma line, only the platform remained." I'll adjust the wording in the article unless it can be shown that the entire line is indeed gone. Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 03:55, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
