Untitled[edit]

What can I say...simply gorgeous. This is as relevant for new century architecture as Santiago Calatrava. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.200.156.143 (talkcontribs) 14:44, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Too bad though that skyscrapers in Saudi Arabia are only built by members of the royal family. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eagleamn (talkcontribs) 22:28, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • I don't care if it is only the royal family who build them. They have the money to do it so they can make them all the more elaborate. This one has won my heart. The other tower, Al Faisaliah Tower, is nowhere near as beautiful as this. - Erebus555 18:21, 13 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Totally irrelevent. But...[edit]

I'd just like to say that this building is amazing! It's absolutely brilliant and very cool at the top!--Dan (Talk)|@ 09:08, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it kind of looks like a bottle opener from the outside. I'm sure I'm not the first to point this out, too. - Team4Technologies (talk) 11:20, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Better picture?[edit]

Looks very nice, but what a lousy picture - isn't there something better available? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.113.149.85 (talkcontribs) 00:00, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Seconded. The web sites referenced have much better views. --IanOsgood 22:37, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • The pictures look fine to me. Should we remove the photo request? Burning phoneix (talk) 21:52, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 03:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Height of the building[edit]

On Emporis, it says that the building's height is 992 ft, but here it says 1020 ft. So which is correct? Zonafan39 (talk) 01:13, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Al Qaeda Flying School[edit]

Expatriates apparently call the Kingdom Centre the "Al Qaeda Flying School"[1]Mztourist (talk) 07:13, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I heard that ibn Talal (the owner of Kingdom Holding - which owns the Centre, why is it not mentioned in the article?) wanted to actually fly through the opening on Saudi National Day a few years ago, but they then let go off the idea, because they felt it was insensitive, regarding 9/11. --Treysis (talk) 01:46, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Floor count?[edit]

The article says the building has 99 stories, but elsewhere in the article and according to Emporis, the building has below 50 floors. CTBUH does not provide data on the number of floors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by LivinAWestLife (talkcontribs) 14:07, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@LivinAWestLife: I think that 99-floors figure was just false info added by an IP two years ago. With the huge inverted parabolic arch it has, it's simply isn't possible for the Kingdom Centre to have 99 physical floors, even if the observation deck is labelled as a 99th floor. CTBUH's Skyscraper Center says KIngdom Centre has 41 floors, but Emporis for some reason lists it as having 32 floors. Jim856796 (talk) 04:46, 11 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
