Info Box

[edit]

Here is an info box I made just for Seventh-day Adventist academies. Template:Infobox_Seventh-day_Adventist_Academies. You can see an example of it at Georgia-Cumberland Academy. In Jesus -- Anthony White 03:55, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed move.

[edit]

Since Westiminster Kingsway College in the UK is a merger of two schools, one of them which was in fact called as Kingsway College, wouldn't it be clearer if this was retitled Kingsway College (Oshawa, Ontario) . I think the current MOS would prescribe the latter. I dontthink we should judge which is the more important. DGG (talk) 11:31, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Alumni

[edit]

Regarding the reverts that have transpired the past few days: instead of a revert war, please settle your differences here.

Several schools have a notable alumni section, so I see no reason Kingsway College should not have one either. But as far as I'm concerned, notability means that the alumnus has their own Wikipedia article.

If you know of any well-known Adventist administrators or evangelists (or other people) who attended Kingsway College, please add them and hyperlink their name. In the case they do not yet have a Wikipedia article, but probably should have one (e.g. anyone who has published a book), list them below, and hopefully someone or myself will get onto it. The IP is spamming the article with a non-notable student at the school. --Pwnage8 (talk) 05:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Band start date

[edit]

I have it from a personal interview with Ralph Coupland himself that he started the band in 1959 while serving as choir director at Kingsway, having been petitioned by some students there to do so. One year later it became too much to handle so Kingsway hired another teacher to handle band, that being Jack McClarty; Ralph Coupland stopped splitting his duties and went full-time choir.

Now it's entirely possible that either I or he is remembering wrong, as my memory isn't so great and he's getting up there in age. It's also possible that the band he started was a more unofficial type thing which became official when Mr. McClarty was hired.

Whoever made those edits appears to have a pretty good idea of what they're talking about, so I'm throwing this on here instead of starting an edit war to see if your sources are better than mine. (NorthernFalcon (talk) 03:40, 17 September 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Most highschools get at most one page. I think this should be merged into the main page. Mason (talk) 13:07, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The History of Kingsway College page is too detailed for the main page. It would need to be edited before a merge could take place. NorthernFalcon (talk) 18:38, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Closing, with no merge, given the uncontested objection and no support. Klbrain (talk) 14:35, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
