Kintaro in modern Japan

[edit]

In the Kintaro in modern Japan section would it be worth mentioning that the character Kintaro plays a major role in Otogizoshi (anime)? The character in that anime is actually partially based on the events of the myth whereas Golden Boy (anime) doesn't appear to have much relation to the original myth at all. Just a thought. It should also be mentioned that the character (from the game Persona 4) Teddie's persona, Kintoki-Douji, is based off of Kintaro. --M.K. (talk) 07:29, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Davy Crockett Parallel?

[edit]

Is there really enough of a similarity between the legends of Kintaro and Davy Crockett to warrant a link here? Googling only showed copies of this article. I'm going to be BOLD and remove it but if someone does restore it can they cite some sources please. --Rider kabuto 16:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference in Gintama series

[edit]

The main character in the Gintama series is a samurai called Sakata Gintoki. Maybe it is worth mentioning in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arara (talkcontribs) 17:16, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
