Friends' names

[edit]

Took out the names "Kieran, Tom, Jake and Phil" From the line about the night out in Bristol under acident. Seemed pointless. Perhaps added by one of his friends. As they are not notable it adds nothing to the article and is rather confusing.

Birth date

[edit]

Hi

There seems to be a problem with the birth date of Marshall, 1963 or 1973.

I will start with this one from 2008 says he is 35, and this one from 2007 says he is 34 Chaosdruid (talk) 03:39, 2 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date also now appears as 11 April or 1 April 146.90.139.0 (talk) 19:13, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Doctor Who

[edit]

There is a rapidly spreading unconfirmed rumour that this chap is the next incarnation of the Doctor. Just a heads up in case this escalates and the entry needs locking to prevent edits. Beeurd (talk) 14:02, 16 April 2017 (UTC) Beeurd (talk) 14:02, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If he DOES get named? Would mentioning the rumours be worth doing? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cuddy2977 (talkcontribs) 12:35, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well we know now he's not going to be the Doctor so hopefully, that will be the end of that.62.190.148.115 (talk) 10:29, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Although Marshall is not going to be the next Doctor Who, as the rumours were so strong, including betting companies suspending betting, they were so sure, that surely this is something that should be at least mentioned in his acting biog? Also, although he may not be the next Doc. Who that does not mean he won't be a future Doc. It's a matter of record that David Tennent was the second choice for the role after Ecclestone, and did then get the role following Ecclestone's departure.90.204.137.233 (talk) 16:37, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There was no mention of David Tennant being the Doctor in the earliest edit of his Wikipedia article even though, as the page creator in 2005 stated, it was generally known that he had nearly been the ninth Doctor and was being lined up to be the tenth.62.190.148.115 (talk) 09:38, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Stopped"

[edit]

The Personal life section of the article implies that Marshall's car was moving when police "stopped" his car, which is what the first source says (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-15196934), but the second source (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-15675623) clarifies that Marshall was asleep in the car with the seat fully reclined, so the word "stopped" is probably misleading. The story highlights the question of being "in charge" of a motor vehicle. The section could be rewritten to combine the information from both sources and represent the event more fairly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.110.180.141 (talk) 08:26, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Birth place

[edit]

Would anybody know of any accurate sources for Marshall's place of birth? There are a number of sources online, some of which say he was born in Bath and others which say Malmesbury. Would anybody know which it is? Vesuvio14 (talk) 13:06, 12 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
