Partially Translated from Spanish Wikipedia, Notability

[edit]

I have partially translated this article from its Spanish Wikipedia counterpart. The academic notability requirements she meets are criteria 8. Laura meets criteria 8 because she is editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Psychology.

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated, you can find the link to the original article below.

Notability Discussion

[edit]

JBW, can we remove the notability tag? Hernández Guzmán meets WP:PROF#8 as previous editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Psychology (called "General Editor" at the International Union of Psychological Science site, but it is the same thing.) This is a major journal that has existed for over 50 years, demonstrating that it is well established. Thanks, QuakerSquirrel (talk) 14:52, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have never liked all these subject-specific notability guidelines, which substantially exist so that editors with an interest in pushing some pet topic can have somewhere to post rules enabling them to claim notability for subjects in that pet area that don't have sufficient coverage in reliable independent sources to satisfy the same notability guidelines that have to be satisfied by most other subjects. However, I have got far better things to do with my time than fight over it if you wish to go ahead. JBW (talk) 21:07, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I've deleted the notability tag, but am leaving the sources tag while I search for more. QuakerSquirrel (talk) 22:36, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
