I've attempted to work on this page. From past history, I'm guessing the first history paragraph really belongs to the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. But I haven't been able to verify it. tess 01:11, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just before and during the Russian Revolution some of the best dancers from Saint Petersburg and Moscow scattered over Europe. Eventually, many of them clustered in Monte Carlo, where an international company came into being. It was called the Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo, and later the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. This company toured Europe and later the United States where it made its permanent home. Some of the most important writers, composers, painters, choreographers and dancers of their day set the international ballet fashion.
Not Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo; but Ballets Russes without the de Monte Carlo is a different albeit related company. Robert Greer (talk) 22:31, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
