Married Name

[edit]

She was Italian (ok, Corsican) as Italian she never changed her name, this page should redirect to Maria Letizia Ramolini, and the ..... nee should be dropped. Italians, sorry I mean Corsicans, (and French too) don't have married names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dellelce (talkcontribs) 21:10, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Visitors in Rome

[edit]

She had some visitors while in seclusion. In 1830 she was visited by two nieces of Stephen Girard, Caroline Girard Haslam (later Peale} and her sister Henriette Girard Clark (formerly Lallemand). Whether their husbands accompanied them I do not know. Source - Caroline's unpublished journal. She was well and lively. The visit was arranged by Princess Zenaide. Hello @Seadowns:, Thank you for this information. I was not able to find a record of that meeting but some interesting facts about Henriette Girard. She married General Henri Lallemand on 28 October 1817 in Philadelphia, he was twice her age, she was the niece of America’s richest man, Stephen Girard. Joseph Bonaparte was a witness at their wedding. After her husband’s death in 1823 she stayed at Joseph Bonaparte’s house as she was good friend with his daughters Zénaïde and Charlotte Bonaparte. In 1829 she married John Yardley Clark, they lived in Paris for a few years. Princess Charlotte did visit her grandmother in Rome as documented here, it is therefore possible that Caroline and Henriette Girard did as well. Aeengath (talk) 13:25, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit-warring

[edit]

User:RandomCanadian seems to be edit-warring on this article page. Could he please explain himself? Thanks, Mathsci (talk) 19:50, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This article page was on my watchist because of these edits by me[1] where I mentioned the family of Bonaparte. I was the first editor to point that out. Mathsci (talk) 20:36, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello @Mathsci: I think RandomCanadian removed it because an article should be categorised under the most specific parent categories possible, therefore Category:People from Ajaccio takes over from Category:People from Corsica, same thing about Carlo Buonaparte, those articles should not have both, per WP:SUBCAT. Children

[edit]

Letizia's daughter Maria Anna Bonaparte (1770), did she ever exsist because the biographies about the Bonaparte family do not mention her exsistence. Jeffersonian111 (talk) 04:58, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Jeffersonian111 Feel free to add to that section but please read WP:CITE and WP:RS on how to source your edits. thank you Aeengath (talk) 17:42, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
