Untitled[edit]

It is not accurate to claim that Elizabeth Patterson's birth date was originally June 26, 1978. First of all, the June birth date was not mentioned until much later, and there was even a strip in 1997 when she says that her birthday is June 28. (In fact, Liz's second birthday is celebrated in the strip that ran on May 25, 1981. Besides the two candles shown on her cake, Mike refers to her turning two when he buys her a present in the May 22, 1981 strip. See May, 1981 strips at http://catalog.fborfw.com/indexdate.php?q=1981-05&Submit=Search)

Further, when the strip debuted in September of 1979, Liz was a baby. Although her age was not specified, she was not yet crawling. As an educated guess, her age could have been somewhere between six and nine months, placing her birth somewhere between December of 1978 and March of 1979. (Going by her having turned two on May 25, 1981, we can extrapolate that when the strip started in 9/1979, Liz was going on four months. Her size at the time fits that age.)

Also, the other characters' ages have also been adjusted, as the strip did not always move in real time. Michael Patterson was five years old and attending kindergarten when the strip began (though Lynn soon forgot this and gave his age as "six" in a couple of those fall-of-1979 strips--possibly because her real-life son Aaron, born in 1973, was six at the time).

Therefore, I suggest removing the note that singles out Liz's age as a retcon and including a general note for all of the characters. Kborgesius (talk) 21:34, 18 November 2007 (UTC) Kborgesius (talk) 14:16, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As with the main FBoFW article, I've reverted the title of this article back to reflect the copyright. That second "For" is in caps.--Phyllis1753 (talk) 16:19, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hang on... In one place, it says that Lawrence's partner is named Nicholas Browne, but in another it says his partner is named Ben. Has someone fudged a name or has Lawrence had more than one partner? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.96.189.228 (talk) 18:19, 4 April 2010 (UTC) Ben was Lawrence's first love. They broke up when Ben decided to move to Paris. Nic came along later. Kborgesius (talk) 14:16, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

I wish to note, just for the record, that at some point in 2012, an anonymous IP vandal changed all of the place names in this article to towns and cities in Minnesota (Brooklyn Park, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Detroit Lakes, Cambridge, etc.) instead of the place names that were actually used in the real strip. While there have been partial corrections in some sections over the intervening two years, it was only when I saw this article today, May 12, 2014, that there's actually been any systematic attempt to fix the entire article. Accordingly, just a reminder to everyone to keep an eye on things. Bearcat (talk) 23:43, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
