Most Goals & Most Appereance's[edit]

So why were these tables removed?

You said "tables aren't needed as this information can be found by sorting main table" Well doesn't it make it easier to read a separate table with most goals and appearance's? I put a lot of effort into making those tables and you take it down. The tables add to this page. --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 20:34, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have no removed these tables. --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 08:58, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Making this a featured list.[edit]

Looking at the other featured lists on players like the List of Arsenal F.C. players and List of Manchester United F.C. players. The Oxford United Players list could easily be a featured list so I think the other 2 lists I mention are a good guideline to go by. A few changes to the table should do it think. --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 09:02, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The table is pretty much completed now. I've added a club captains table too. I'm not sure if we can submit this for Featured List with redlinks in the table though.. --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 11:21, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, also i'd recommend going through peer review first. Eddie6705 (talk) 15:28, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redlinks[edit]

Could the players with redlinks in the table have a page created for them? If this is to be a featured list I think the players listed need their own page but I could be wrong. --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 09:16, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes they would all need an article. There are still many more players to be added to the list, so i was planning to start the articles once all names were in place. Eddie6705 (talk) 10:24, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Which players need to be added? All players with over 100 caps for the club? --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 10:42, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, i was going through the list from Rage Online. Eddie6705 (talk) 20:20, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have gone through the Rage Online archive of players starting at 1949. All players with over 100 apps are in the table. Quite a few players pages need to be created. --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 04:24, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

' Players who have achieved notability through a major contribution to the club'[edit]

Can this be the amount of games played for the club? --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 08:12, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it is to be used for players who havent played 100 games, but would still be notable enough for the list. Eddie6705 (talk) 12:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit: Though saying that players who have played more than 100 games could still be included. Eddie6705 (talk) 12:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've marked Peter Rhoades-Brown and Les Taylor as achieved notability through a major contribution to the club but I'm not sure. Peter Rhoades-Brown has made a major contribution to the club but this is after he retired. Does that still count? --TwentiethApril1986 (talk) 10:00, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I guess so but im not too sure. Eddie6705 (talk) 11:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Houseman[edit]

Why is he not included in the list?Manormadman (talk) 06:17, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Couple of things[edit]

Hi, just though I'd bring up a few things about this list I've noticed. The list's stats don't include appearances in the FA Trophy and the Conference League Cup (Setanta Shield), and while these are not well recorded by Soccerbase they are shown on Rage Online's player profiles. And Luke Foster's stats would appear to be incorrect; his source is a book published in 2009, which I can't imagine completely covers his apps for the club considering he left in 2010. Further, Rage Online says he made 112 appearances. Hope nobody minds me bringing these up. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 12:51, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all. I've had plenty of issues with this sort of thing while making this page and the managers page as well. Just a minute ago i was updating Chris Wilder's manager stats and found soccerbase has him down for managing 80 games when he has only been at the club for 79! I would have used rage online as the source for most of the players but its a fansite so wouldn't have been allowed in flc. I'm not sure what i can do .
