<discussion> After a few days of PROD, it was suggested that Professor Layton and the Wandering Castle and Professor Layton and the Phantom Deity be redirected here. It's unlikely that there's going to be entirely too much debate on this, but regardless, we might as well do things formally.

  • The aforementioned articles are not notable, at least on the English Wikipedia.
  • Consequently, the aforementioned have received little if any coverage in reliable sources, demonstrated thoroughly by the articles' lack of sources.
  • Most relevant information is already listed on this page: they're novels, they exist, and the name/Japanese name and ISBN numbers.
  • Aside from that, the pages currently consist of short plot "summaries" (which are, bluntly, a bit more like the book-flap synopsis, but...) and a list of characters (of which, generally, all important ones are listed at the series' characters page. Said page also is in need of some surgery, but that can be done later.

I don't believe merging the pages into here would do any serious harm to the Wiki, and it would shave off a few perma-stubs regarding the series. Several articles regarding this series need some help, and this is as good a place as any to start. Just as a bit of necessary planning: the removal of these two articles will also, eventually, lead to the removal of the book cover files, and a line from the Professor Layton template. Shouldn't be anything too tragic, but plan accordingly. Emmy Altava 01:49, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

With the articles having been PROD'd on the 12th, we're nearing the end of the general one-week period. If there are no objections by 11:59 PM CST on November 19, I will complete this plan of action. Emmy Altava 04:35, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
