Untitled[edit]

There is another article with Kota_(India) name. It was linked from Kota page originally. I have put some template there, which we can start putting information on. Once it is reasonably written we can merge there two pages (Kota_(India) and Kota, Rajasthan)

I agree, they should be merged. I propose that the title "Kota, Rajasthan" be retained; there may be other small places in India by the name Kota. Does it need an admin to do the merging? ImpuMozhi 23:23, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Just go ahead and do it, and make Kota (India) a redirect page to here.
However, shouldn't Kota and Kota district be separate articles? Kota has a population of around 0.5 million while the whole district has a population of around 1.6 million. Matthewmayer 02:18, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Population[edit]

Places of Interest[edit]

Does the Places of interest section really need to list out each and every spot in the city? Even the New Delhi page doesn't list out those many.

Removing the following:
  1. Sawan phuhar Water Park,the first and only amusement water park in the Hadoti region. (uncited advertisement)
  2. Haryali & Maheshwari Resorts cum restaurants, (advertisement)
  3. Umed Bhavan Palace(Luxury Hotel) (Can be included under a separate header for hotels but not really a place of tourist interest, as such)
  4. Hadoti Traffic Garden (Not really notable)
  5. Godavari Dham Mandir, a temple (redundant, mentioned twice.)
Should Agamgarh Saheb Gurudwara and Tirupati Balaji Temple be included ? I don't think they're really places of interest.

Chambal River[edit]

Suggest removal of section, entirely. The Chambal river is not really relevant to the article. A separate article already exists for the same.

Semi-protection request[edit]

Looking at the number of vandalism attends by multiple IPs and a new user (possibly a SPA account of Aamir pathan27 (talk · contribs), I've requested semi-protection for the article. They are continuously changing the population and settlement type to metropolitan. See http://www.census2011.co.in/census/city/90-kota.html. And i'm tired of it...
