Merge proposal[edit]

I suggest this page be merged with Industrial Relations Court of Australia. The Court has effectively been abolished and no more judges will be appointed so there is little point in having two pages on the same topic. Bookscale (talk) 04:49, 8 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose there is no point to merging because transclusion means that the information already appears on this page. There is no duplication so it is incorrect to say they are on the same topic. The reason for having two separate pages is so that the page about the court is in Category:Australian superior courts & Category:Commonwealth of Australia courts and tribunals while the list of judges is in Category:Lists of Australian judges. In the event that the article about the court expands beyond its start class, the list would remain as a stand alone, in the same way as other Australian courts, such as Federal Court of Australia and List of judges of the Federal Court of Australia. • The list of judges article can never be expanded or improved upon. Surely isn't any point of keeping an article to maintain a category? No other court pages other than the Supreme Courts of the States/Territories, the Federal Court and the High Court (all of which are still in existence and will continue to have useful lists) have judge lists (edit: I see the District Court of NSW does too sorry - but same thing applies). Support; merge is a better solution that transclusion and List of judges of the Industrial Relations Court of Australia benefits from the context of the main topic. Klbrain (talk) 07:34, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
