Never abdicated

[edit]

Several more Swedish monarchs were deposed but never abdicated. I added a few to the list who actually did abdicate (some a few years after they were deposed), and I removed one who refused to do so beyond his dying day. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 21:01, 19 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To make article more useful for readers, please add "Age at Abdication" and make "Date of Abdication" a sortable column

[edit]

I just have a suggestion. To make the article more useful to people discussing current events and trying to relate them to history, it would be useful to add a column "Age at Abdication" and to make the "Date of Abdication" column sortable.

To add context, it would be useful to add "Number of Years Reigned".

These are just suggestions from a non-historian who popped in looking for historical context with which to discuss current European monarchy.

Thanks you guys for your hard work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.71.169.56 (talk) 19:11, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To enable this, I've posted a request for better date functions in Help:Time function and Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Dates and numbers/Date autoformatting.

Louis XIX of France?

[edit]

Most (if not all) historians, don't recognise King Charles X's eldest son as 'ever' being king of France. GoodDay (talk) 07:26, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
