Is Marianne Straub really of low importance?
[edit]Straub designed for major projects, including Ministry of Works and the liveries of London Underground and British Rail. I'm adding in more sources but I also know from another article on Isabel Tisdall, that Straub also worked on the QE2 and the Trident aircraft, among other large and prestigious commercial commissions. She was a designer for Festival of Britain, was appointed RDI in 1972 and also taught at various universities, as well as working for Helios, Warners and advising the Welsh textile industry. And she was a Great Bardfield Artist. I'll be adding in more refs over the next few days and checking/improving the article, but suggest a reappraisal. If there are no objections I intend to promote her to medium for textiles and industrial design. Libby norman (talk) 14:10, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
