Exhibitions of what?

[edit]

"While in his curatorial positions he mounted major exhibitions of Art Nouveau. For example, "Realism Now" (1972), "Blacks: USA" (1973), "Women Choose Women" (1973), "Bouguereau" (organized with Robert Isaacson, 1975), and a retrospective of photographer Man Ray (1975)."

None of those sound like Art Nouveau exhibitions to me, unless possibly the Bouguereau (Art Nouveau being at least slightly compatible with academic art). Without any knowledge of the exhibitions I'll leave it for now (except for the Man Ray) and instead just improve the text around it—but I wonder whether someone has been pulling a prank, or maybe just writing very carelessly. (It also raises the question of whether exhibition titles ought to be italicized, rather than have quotation marks - that would be a yes from me.) Harfarhs (talk) 07:46, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
