"King of Pancreas" is a little over the top in the context of an encyclopedia.

Major rewrite

[edit]

The new version is a major rewrite of the previous one. Reasons / Improvements:

  • The previous version looked more like a straight dump of Büchler's CV with lots of minor details, e.g. it was listing all his positions in journal editorial boards etc. The new version is much better structured and selects important information.
  • The new version provides recent updates. The previous one was based on an old CV.
  • A factual mistake is removed: the information about a research fellowship in California is wrong. In the cited source this info is given for Helmut Friess, the first author of the article, and not for Büchler.
  • Much more references are added. Hence the BLP-sources alert is removed.
  • An infobox and authority control are added.
