Name

Should the article be moved to 'Martin Bavčer'? Like used in this source. Or 'Bauzer'? --Eleassar my talk 08:40, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A comparison of published sources with Martin Baučer vs. Martin Bauzer seems to indicate that Martin Bauzer is more frequent and is also used in international sources (Italian, French, English, German, Slovene, Croatian), and that Martin Baučer is less frequent and is limited to Slovene sources. What about Bauzer? --Eleassar my talk 09:04, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I meant "Bauzer" in my comment above (a copy-paste error). I've corrected that now. The variant Bavčer is negligible and the variant Bavzer doesn't seem to appear in written sources. Doremo (talk) 09:14, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Martinus Bauzer also has some frequency, but is still less common than "Martin Bauzer." Doremo (talk) 09:19, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The variation Martino Bauzer seems to have the highest frequency of all, but it may be less "international" because it is primarily found in Italian sources. Doremo (talk) 09:30, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ethnicity

[edit]

According to the above-mentioned source, he never self-identified as a Slovene and describing him as a Slovene is anachronistic. --Eleassar my talk 08:41, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
