Reformation/Traditional Faction division is Wrong

[edit]

The Split in the Malankara Church in 1889 was caused due to the differences in authority. In the Royal Court Case, Pulikottil Joseph Mar Dionosyus claimed that the Head of Malankara is the person Instituted by the Patriarch of Antioch under who the Church belongs. Thomas Mar Athanasius claimed that the Malankara Church is independent, no foreign power had authority here and the Apostolic Throne of Malankara is as old as Rome or Antioch.
