Double entry / Possible merge?

[edit]

It seems that the articles Metropolis in Asia and Metropolis (southern Phrygia) are duplicates as both use the same location. Metropolis in Asia says: "in what is today Tratsa, Turkey (near Tatarili and Haidarli" (I could not figure out where Haidarli is supposed to be) and Metropolis (southern Phrygia) state: "near Tatarlı, Afyonkarahisar Province, Asian Turkey". However, on the other hand that would not make sense according to the Catholic titular sees. The article Metropolis in Asia has a titular see with the same name and then there is another titular see called "Metropolis in Pisidia". The problem here is that Metropolis in southern Phrygia kind of fits to the location (the article also states that it was assigned to Pisidia, but then we have a problem with which other Metropolis had a titular see called Metropolis in Asia. There is another Metropolis article, Metropolis (northern Phrygia), but this has no mention of a dioceses. I could not find any further info where Metropolis in Asia is supposed to be, so now I am not sure whether we have a double entry here or a possibly third Metropolis in the same region (the Metropolis (southern Phrygia) mentions that there were two in Phrygia). Anyone has any ideas on that topic? PontiffSulivahn (talk) 16:34, 25 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
