I just saw that there is two articles about Alexander: see also Solomon Alexander (Terot 17:13, 11 December 2006 (UTC))

Greek Orthodox church?[edit]

Quoth the article:

Both the Roman Catholic church and Greek Orthodox church subsequently sent Patriarchs to Jerusalem to counteract Alexander's influence.

While the Roman Catholics did indeed re-establish their Patrairchate in Jerusalem in the 1840s, the Greek church had a patriach based their continuously since the middle ages; see Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem for details. Unless someone wants to clarify this statement, I'm going to remove it. --Jfruh (talk) 21:37, 12 March 2009 (UTC) No comment after such a long time, and the article you link to clearly indicates you are correct. I'll do it. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 14:06, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

change of family name from Wolff to Alexander[edit]

When did he change his name, and why? Is it known? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 14:03, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
