Quigley

Would it be possible to add the following:

"Mr. Quigley is a heterosexual, but he has a large number of gay constituents and is supportive of gay causes. Recently, he played hockey in the Gay Games hosted in Chicago."

Is the following sentence really necessary? "Quigley did not receive the endorsements of any organized labor union in the 2006 election." It seems to me that if we apply the endorsement preferences of a special-interest groups (big labor, big business, Greenpeace, N.R.A., Planned Parenthood, etc.) to Quigley, then we should include it for all politicians or Board Commissioners as a matter of consistency.

I've removed that unsourced sentence per WP:BLP. The article is being hammered with anonymous vandalism today so I've given it semi-protection for a day. —Sean Whitton / 16:05, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

The result of the move request was moved to Michael Quigley, and Mike Quigley (footballer) moved to Mike Quigley, hatnotes to be added to disambiguate -- Aervanath (talk) 07:02, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

What ever happened on this? I think the footballer got moved, but the politician didn't. I'm not sure what the outcome of the discussion was. Qqqqqq (talk) 05:26, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

The result of the proposal was Consensus for move Dab page shouldn't exist per clear policy. These dab page with only two topics are becoming more and more common and are going to drive me off the deep end.---Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:39, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Michael Quigley (politician)Michael Quigley — - The only other person listed on the disambiguation page, Mike Quigley, is a stub, and there is no evidence in any of the external links that he is commonly called "Michael Quigley". A hatnote on this article would better direct readers. --84.92.117.93 (talk) 17:05, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Page to be moved. Once the inbound links are cleaned up for Mike QuigleyMike Quigley (footballer), then I'll do the Michael QuigleyMike Quigley (politician) move. Just leave a note on my talk page when someon takes care of those links. Vegaswikian (talk) 18:46, 18 March 2012 (UTC)

– He goes by Mike, not Michael. Reflected in external links, on the Congress page and his campaign website. Marcus Qwertyus 21:47, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

I wonder if this shouldn't just be moved to Mike Quigley per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Views over past 30 days for Congressman (1401), Footballer (275). Gobōnobo + c 09:14, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Why should politicians get protection against their records of how they voted on issues, especially when hurting the working class? Bababoozer (talk) 22:20, 18 May 2015 (UTC)

If you have factual changes to propose to the voting record of this congressman, or other information about him or his record based on reliable, published sources, by all means mention it here or add it to the article once the protection expires. If you are here to express a personal opinion about him or his voting record, sorry, that's not what Wikipedia is for. Dwpaul Talk 22:34, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
