Missing history[edit]

Although there are plenty of sources saying that this place was founded in November 1945, it was not listed as a village in the official government village lists of 1946 or 1947, nor did it appear in its present location on maps of the Survey of Palestine or the Survey of Israel until after 1950. The earliest I found was a 1956 map where it appears as a purple overprint that indicates a recent change. The cooperative society "“Misgav ‘Am” Kvutzat Hano’ar Ha'oved Lehityashvut Shitufit Be'eravon Mugbal" was registered on 28 Feb 1946, so the early date is not a fantasy, but either it was initially only on paper, or in a different location, or officially part of some other village.
