While it is true that there was an eruption in January 2018, what is not known is the precise casualty figures. The latest figures put the casualty list as one dead and from 12 to 16 injured (two seriously). The JMA have also elevated the volcanic warning level to 3 saying that they do not rule out further activity. Personally, I think it wise to wait before putting definite casualty figures in an article at such an early stage; it is better to wait a while, or perhaps to say that early casualty figures are in the low tens. To put in a definite figure early on means that it will have to be changed as the figures go from 10 injured to 1 killed and 12 injured to 1 killed and 16 injured. If there are no further eruptions at this time, then a definite figure is more possible.Everlong Day (talk) 09:49, 23 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
