Page name[edit]

On 1 March 2009 user:Fergananim moved Muireadhach Albanach to Muireadhach Albanach Ó Dalaigh stating: Include full name.

This was reverted on 2 March 2009 by user:Deacon of Pndapetzim stating: no need to dab here.

The article was nevertheless being placed in categories using the sort key O Dalaigh, so I repeated the page move to Muireadhach Albanach Ó Dálaigh (using the diacritic in Dálaigh this time) to include the bardic family name Ó Dálaigh in the article title, not because disambiguation is necessary but because I understand this to be part of his name. - Fayenatic (talk) 20:04, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As a descendant of Muiread Albanach O Dálaigh, i have a question to Wikipedia? Why does Wikipedia not him his full modern name of Murray Daly the Scotsman? All I see on Wikipedia and Google is Murray the Scotsman. His modern surname of Daly should be included.[edit]

As a descendant of Muiread Albanach O Dálaigh, why does Wikipedia only use Murray the Scotsman, his full modern name would be, Murray Daly the Scotsman. His surname is important, the surname Daly is not just a Irish name. The Daly is a ancient Gaelic surname of both Scotland and Ireland. My family come from Scotland, from the same Loch Lomondside area of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, that Muiread Albanach O Dálaigh lived. 24.114.42.193 (talk) 15:59, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
