The reference 7 found in the following line leads to a wrong link.
The 'tourist ticket' is a pass valid for one, three, or five days that can be purchased up to three days in advance.[7]--Caliberoviv (talk) 05:21, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

Basically, this is a good article, but in my oppinion the old one was better!
I think a couple of corrections are required on this page. On the harbour line , the are no Fast Trains . The trains stop at all stations ...so its misleading to indicate belapur , vashi etc in Bold . These are terminating stations for some trains ...but not fast train stops . Same applies to trains going to Dahanu on the western line . They stop at all stations after Borivali . On the Western Line , fast trains exist only till borivali . So a Virar Fast Local Train ..will stop at all stations from Borivali onwards. Letme know if you want me to clarify more on this.
Hi
Mumbai's population is 14.5 million.
How can 70.5 million use the Mumbai Suburban Railway daily? 103.24.62.81 (talk) 07:27, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Logo?
I know the organisations doesn't have an official logo, but can we put up one with the white square, red roundel and blue rectangle, without any name as a logo? For eg. http://www.mumbaikar.com/media/thumbnail/photo-large/66d5296f2a8080c021888e921b9f17ea/other/20090601_dadar-station-1.jpg
I have seen some MMRDA signboards on the express highways which use it to show directions to stations, without the name on the roundel of course. So can we use it as a logo?

Fast trains
Not every fast train stops at the same stations. For example, there is one northbound fast train on the central line around 7 pm that stops at Matunga. Some stop at Sion too.
- Can one of you guys check the map i made and verify if the routes are correct. im not sure how the system works other than the central and western line.--PlaneMad 08:43, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
There are sum trains in western line which don't halt at Bandra and Borivali. 15 coach trains don't halt at Dahisar and Naigaon stations beyond Borivali. Prathmesh01 (talk) 05:57, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
Fast trains on the Central Line sometimes stop at Vikhroli, not Ghatkopar. MadScientist (talk) 03:46, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Density
Mumbai subarban trains are full with people and in peak hours 15 people per square meter are travelling. Death of 3500 persons per year is highest death ratio without any reason on Mumbai Local Train. vkvora 12:54, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
Clarification
Can someone verify the source of the statement made on deaths on the suburban system?
Clarification to unknown visitor
- As a result, some 3,500 passengers, or 10 a day, are killed annually in grisly accidents. Some are crushed to death by fellow riders or under speeding trains after falling out of doors that are typically left open to accommodate more riders. Others are killed by moving trains while crossing tracks to avoid crowded pedestrian walkways. Link is also given in the article.
I think it would be a good idea to use that as a source, since neither of the other two citations can be accessed. Roshangeorge (talk) 19:10, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Basic information
Wow...I just tried ot add the Mass Tranist infobox and found that I really couldn't. I didn't see anywhere on the article the exact number of stations or even lines...could someone help fill out the entire box? Also, if there's a logo, it would be helpful if someone could upload it - it would fit the infobox quite nicely. Hbdragon88 01:17, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Redegining The Mahim Railway Station
The Mahim Railway Station Should Be Redegion , Because Of The Growing Population At That Place And Also Of The Upcoming Area Of Daravi, So Keeping In Mind All This Upcoming Issuse We Have To Take An Imediate Action For This Topic, So As There Will Be No Problem Is Future For That . No world record
I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm afraid Mumbai loses out to Tokyo, where the Yamanote Line alone carries 1.3 billion passengers a year over 34.5km of track. Jpatokal 12:03, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
Comment:
For your kind information, Mumbai Suburban Railway carries 2.5 billion passengers a year. Prathmesh01 (talk) 05:52, 13 June 2011 (UTC)
This link - Metro systems by annual passenger rides - shows that if it does carry the 2.64 billion people that the introduction to the article says it does, it would be the busiest urban mass transit system in the world. Y not math (talk) 17:46, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

where can i give complaints ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.199.87.133 (talk) 11:11, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I have removed this article from Category: November 2008 Mumbai attacks because:
- This is a major railway system so any attacks on it are surely part of the railway's history rather than vice versa. For instance, no one would consider including Mumbai or South Mumbai in the category.
- The railway, per se, was not attacked in November, nor have any of the terrorists been suspected of using it.
- The only railway-related building to be attacked, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is already in Category:Buildings attacked in the November 2008 Mumbai attacks
- Previous attacks on Mumbai have involved the railway to a greater extent (yet are not given prominence).
- This is creating needless clutter in the category.
