I propose to split this article up

[edit]

In my opinion, this article is not viable in its current form. The Mass Effect series is going to grow more and more with each year due to its tremendous popularity, and having an article that contains all soundtrack albums of the series is ridiculous. I propose to split this article into two (Music of Mass Effect 2 and Music of Mass Effect 3), similar to Music of Final Fantasy VIII or Music of Chrono Cross. The soundtrack album of the original Mass Effect game can be merged into the Mass Effect (video game) article since it's just one album. Opinions? --Niwi3 (talk) 13:53, 28 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I could get behind this, but as it is I'm leaning to just outright deleting the article. As it is, we've basically got just the track listings and little else. If we can get a good "Reception/legacy" section, and some more "Creation" information, I'd be all for it. I imagine the latter will be relatively easy to find; first place to look is under Mass Effect 2#Music, of course. There's also this interview with one of the ME2 composers. – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 18:07, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at the Music section of 2, I have a good feel about this. It's got awards and everything; I'm sure we can find enough other stuff to split it off. – Bellum (talk) (contribs) 18:17, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the idea is to use the Template:Main in the Music section of the ME2 article so that I can expand it further. Same for ME3. The page Music of the Mass Effect video game trilogy can then be redirected to List of Mass Effect media#Soundtracks. --Niwi3 (talk) 18:57, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
