Notability?

[edit]

Has notability been established? It has been tagged since 2007. I just created a page for Kansas City based jazz singer Myra Jardine Taylor, who has had an 80 year career. I made it at Myra Taylor Jazz singer and it would seem with recordings released spanning a range from 1934 to 2001 might be a bit more notable. K8 fan (talk) 22:22, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No need for a choice between them. The usual Wikipedia practice is to create a hndis page to link to the pieces on both women. Scriptwriter (IMDb lists nothing except sitcoms) is a better description for the Englishwoman incidentally, and lower case is normally used for the term(s) in parenthesis. The debate over notability has been moribund for more than three years, and it does not appear as though there is strong advocacy for deletion. Although this article could do with improvement, I think she does pass notability. Her writing credits may appear limited. However they do include acting as co-creator of The Liver Birds, an important and long-running British TV comedy series which was one of the most popular in its day. There was also Bless This House, which I didn't watch myself but I think was fairly popular in its day. PatGallacher (talk) 01:21, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
