missing info[edit]
Isn't there something missing between sections background and the next section's first (called massacre) sentence after the massacre...? I was hoping to learn about the massacre, something about what happened... instead some say those who were killed were dacoits. How strange. --Ben T/C 10:26, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
Categories[edit]
In a weird move to 'promote' this article, User:Ghanadar galpa seeks to mass categorize. Let's have a look at the cases where I dispute the categorization he does:
- Category:Political repressions in India: Repression is the act of a state, it is not an act of a political parties, even though that party might hold regional government power
- Category:West Bengal], is a supercat of Category:History of West Bengal
- Category:Economy of India, this is not within the bounds of economy, even with a very wide definition of the term economy
- Category:Political and cultural purges, 'purge' is not a synonym for 'killing'. Nothing in the article justifies this categorization.

CPI(M)'s viewpoint[edit]
available at [1]. This should be incorporated in the article somehow. --Soman (talk) 22:47, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- There is nothing about Nanoor in it. It is a general view of land reforms, which can form a separate article. - P.K.Niyogi (talk) 02:57, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- ""Hence, the violence in Midanpore. Since there was no dearth of licensed arms with Trinamul supporters, funded by these affluent landlords, they went on a rampage, displacing thousands of workers from villages. They began returning after two and a half years. What happened in Nanoor in July? It was a fight between farmers and landlords desperate to recapture land," he remarked." --Soman (talk) 09:58, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
