Neeraj Maan - contest deletion
[edit]Hi Stifle, thanks for reviewing the page and for the notice proposing deletion. As suggested I will be adding info to expand the page. I just started this today and am in the process of gathering more citations.
I contest and oppose deletion: Reasons: 1. Neeraj Maan is selected for the Asian Games to represent India in rowing. He has been representing India for many years now. 2. Winning silver medal at Asian Games, a continental championship is considered significant and notable. Any top-8 in such events are considered notable as per Wikipedia:Notability (sports). 3. All mainstream newspapers in India, both in English and vernacular press covered the news.
So, I feel this articles deserves a Wiki page.
thanks, David

- Have added more info and references. Have also added the official Indian government release where PM of India congratulates the team. Also Neeraj Maan was listed in three other Wiki lists including the Asian Games page of India and the Rowing event page, which he can make in only if he is passes the Notability test, I guess.

Request not delete Career section without giving a reason
[edit]Have added Career section with reliable citations from reputed Newspapers and reliable source like official Indian Rowing Federation. Carrer section show the events he took part and medal won, so it gives all basic info required for a start class. Request Rowing007 not to delete these portions indiscriminately. thanks, david Davidindia (talk) 06:55, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
